Handwoven in Cape Town.

Our rugs are made by Cape Looms, a Cape Town weaving studio working in the long tradition of the loom. Each rug is woven by hand from natural South African wool; a hardy, lustrous fleece prized for its strength and its ability to hold natural dye with depth and subtlety.

Because they are woven, not tufted, these rugs are reversible and built to last generations. Slight variations in the weave are the signature of the hand, the evidence of a person, a loom, and time.

Maintenance & Care

Wool is naturally resilient and stain-resistant. Rotate periodically for even wear, air occasionally, and treat spills promptly by blotting. For a deeper clean, a specialist wool cleaner is recommended. Cared for simply, a Cape Looms rug only improves with age.
